I sent out a text message last night to let immediate family know that Mom's new room number is 4102.
It's not the "deluxe" accommodations of the 2nd floor. She is in more of a nursing home environment now. Sharing a room with a 92 year old lady with a broken hip and her daughter. Mom didn't get a lot of rest last night, I think I got some rest but neither of us got a "good" nights sleep between the daughter snoring and the other patient watching television ALL NIGHT LONG whether her eyes were open or not! Praying for the TV on that side of the room to not work between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM every night until Monday. Not sure if God will honor that prayer but as they say, it doesn't hurt to ask.
Mom's skin GRAFT is now starting to burn a little. It's like a bad skin from falling down on your knee or scooting across the black top after a bicycle wreck. It will likely cause her to have a few bad days and then start to get okay by the middle of next week.
She is eating much better now. I think the stress of a second operation was keeping her from eating as well as she usually does. But she seems to be back to herself in that regard.
We are really looking forward to Monday, that's the day we believe she will be released. I think that's the next day that Dr. Koester will be in the hospital for rounds with Mom.
Once again I'll keep you posted. Trying to get Mom a pedicure while she's in the hospital, she seemed excited about that.
love, Katie

The girls and I will also start to pray that your roommate's tv doesn't work. We will also continue praying for a fast and fairly painless recovery. Love you guys bunches:)
