Good Friends

Mom got a wonderful, relaxing pedicure today as a gift from one of my high school girlfriends, Dawn Drake Goodall. Dawn really made Mom's day. Mom had looked forward to this since Wednesday when I had asked Dawn if it was possible. All day yesterday she was afraid she was going to fall asleep and miss her "appointment". Dawn brought everything she needed with her to the hospital and did the spa pedicure right in Mom's room. Now Mom looks even prettier with her pink toes. We decided we should've had smiley faces painted on her toes so she could see them when she was in bed but since it was an after thought we decided to go with a bright cheery pink. She's been showing off her sexy feet all afternoon! Thank you Dawn for your gift from the heart.

Ericka Wiley one of her Mary Kay team members called today to wish her well and tell her how very much she thinks of her and how beautiful Mom is inside and out. Kitty called to check in on Mom too. Mom also enjoyed a call and a few comments on her blog from her H&R friend Rob. All this attention is making her realize just how important she is to everyone in her circle of influence. Marla (Marlalee) stopped by faithfully for an afternoon visit. Mom looks so forward to her visits.

Mom's awake now so I am going to visit with her while she's awake.
