Good news! Mom bought herself a laptop yesterday when we were at Wal-mart. She got a great deal on an HP. And, this is the GREAT news, she can type!!! She started writing a story today about the park. She looks like the weight of the world has been lifted off her shoulders to know that it is possible. Now, she's not a speed demon by any means but in my personal opinion doing quite well for her first time trying and all the injuries. The hand just doesn't operate the way it used to and it won't but she can re-train her brain to make it work for her the best possible. We go to therapy today, I'm sure Albert will be impressed with her computer usage today.
Mom got a card from Vanessa, her daughter, in yesterdays mail. Seems like everyday she is receiving cards and some of her friends have sent multiple cards and well wishes.
