Wow this is such dejavu from a year ago in Omaha. Mom had a fairly good day, more emotional than optimal, however the day ended with some great visits.
Michael spent some time with Mom, some friends from church came to visit, one of my classmates Paula Reynolds, Kitty Carver, Marlalee, Justin Adkins and his wife Mandy, and Chris Adkins' wife Brittany and Sandy Irvin. Mom enjoyed seeing everyone and it totally wore her out. She has been sleeping for almost 3 hours without waking up. Even the nurse's aide that came in a little while ago decided to let her sleep instead of taking blood pressure and sticking her finger.
She took one short walk down the hallway today, tomorrow they may try to do more. I hope so because she was starting to get an open skin place on her "bum" today. The put an antibiotic pad on that. Should be fine. She is so amazing. The absolutely strongest, most courageous, amazing woman I have ever known.
Well my patient is sleeping, time for me to sleep too. On a side note, Zack is staying the night with his brothers alternately. He's getting to visit his Dad in his hospital room. Randy was moved to the same floor as mom this evening, he's in pretty bad shape. His wife Shelia is staying with him in his room looking after him. Zack is grateful that his Grandmother and his father lived through their injuries.
Pray pray pray!!!! It works!!! You are proving it.
love,
Katie

Dear, Wonderful Anita - YOU are an amazing woman! I am so very sorry you are having to endure such a terrible injury. Thank heavens your beautiful face is still in tact - that bad boy did a number on your poor arms:( It sounds like the doctors did a good job on you and even though you've got some recovery to do - you WILL recover and we're just gonna pray that you recover fully and completely. Please know that you are being prayed for and thought about and loved from a distance!!! Reba Lynne and family
